Sequencing & Alignment
Whole genome sequences from 218 rhesus macaques were generated at Duke University and Baylor College of Medicine during the summer of 2015. Reads were then transferred to the University of Pennsylvania for alignment and variant calling. As of January 2016, we have aligned reads to each of the three versions of the rhesus macaque genome reference assembly (rhemac2; MacaM; rhemac8) and generated bam alignment files for all animals.
